In Norwalk, CT, Dream Home Creators took a dated condo bathroom down to the studs and rebuilt it as a bright, modern space – new soaking tub, floor-to-ceiling textured tile, a new vanity and fixtures throughout – priced as one lump sum with a detailed written scope, and finished on schedule.
Before and After
This is where we started: a sliding-door tub enclosure, a cultured-marble vanity top and finishes from another era. Every fixture and surface in the room was replaced.
And the finished room. The glass enclosure is gone in favor of a deep alcove soaking tub with a curved rod, the surround is tiled to the ceiling in a textured wave-pattern ceramic with a recessed niche, and a large-format porcelain floor ties it together.
What We Did
- Full demolition to the studs – tub, enclosure, toilet, vanity, flooring and wall tile removed, with dust containment at the entry
- New in-wall blocking and a site-framed recessed shower niche
- Continuous waterproofing system over the entire tub surround and niche
- New 60″ alcove soaking tub with a rain shower head, hand shower and curved shower rod
- Textured wave-pattern ceramic wall tile, set horizontally and carried to the ceiling
- 12″ x 24″ stone-look porcelain tile floor
- New freestanding vanity with a stone top and undermount sink, plus a comfort-height toilet
- Matching brushed-nickel plumbing fixtures and accessories throughout
- Fresh paint on walls, ceiling and trim, and a final clean
